Small Group

About a month ago my handy husband and I decided that it was time for us to get plugged in to a small group from church. For those of you who are not quite sure what a small group is, that's ok- we weren't sure either! We have however got that part figured out. A small group is basically a group of people who meet outside of church to learn more about the word of God and fellowship together. Everyone in the group is usually close to the same age and stage in their life- for example we are in a couples age 20-30 small group. To be honest, I was very anxious about joining a small group. I was worried that we wouldn't have anything in common with the other couples in the group, that we might not connect well or that we might be looked at as outsiders since we were the only new members to the group. However, all these worries were put to rest after our first encounter with our new group last Wednesday. We felt very welcomed and were relieved to find out that Mahlon and I both knew someone that was already a member of the group.
Our small group is currently doing a study on the book When Sinners Say "I Do".
This weeks chapter was on forgiveness and how we as Christians should strive to fully forgive others of their sins against us the same as God has forgiven us of our sins against Him. I am really looking forward to meeting with everyone again tonight and actually being able to contribute to the discussion :)

LeapFrog

It's bound to happen! When your have a kindergarten teacher for an Aunt you are most likely going to get some sort of educational gift for every occasion! However, I do promise that they will always be way cool educational gifts!
For example; my youngest nephew will be turning 3 at the end of this month and check out what he will be getting ( I feel confident that he will not be on the internet to see what his gift will be so the surprise will not be ruined!)

How cool is this, you can even sync it to your computer and send your child, or nephew :), an email!

This little guy looks like he's having a blast! :)

I'm excited about it! Honestly, I really do think he will like it! And if nothing else, he will be one of the most tech savvy 3 year olds around!

Orson

A year and a half ago Mahlon and I decided to go by the humane society and "look" at all the puppies. So "look" we did, and look what we found!
The most adorable Blue Heeler Australian Shepard mix you will ever see! We adopted Orson in November of 2008 man has he grown since!
This is Orson today escorting me out to the garden :)

Orson is living with Nana for the time being because I feel guilty keeping him in our apartment when she has so much room for him to run and romp! And even though she tries to deny it, she LOVES having him there! He is by far the best dog ever! If anyone is thinking of getting a pet I would strongly recommend going to your local humane society first. There are many cats and dogs who would love a good home.
