34 weeks

How far along: 34 weeks 1 day.
Total weight gain: The scale and I are no longer friends!
Maternity clothes: I got 2 new shirts (one pictured above) and a pair of khaki capris this past week :)
Sleep: I sleep pretty good. I wake up throughout the night with my arm or leg asleep from the position I was sleeping in but I just change position and go back to sleep!
Best moment this week: 1) Taking maternity pictures- I will post them as soon as they are in!
2)Birthing class. I was terrified to go. I was for sure that I would leave traumatized, but it was actually very informative. And, Mahlon was able to learn how to push, which seeing made the class totally worth it!
Labor signs:  At my appointment yesterday Dr. Gass said that he is head down and should not change from this position before birth! Yay! He also said he was very pleased with the way my pregnancy had progressed and was impressed with my low blood pressure (112/60- I've always had very low blood pressure). He even complimented me on the fact that I did not have any stretch marks yet :)
On a side note, here is a comical conversation between Dr. Gass and I yesterday:
Dr. Gass: "Are you having any contractions yet?"
Me: " Ummm, I don't think so...I'm guessing I would know if I was so let's go with no."
He just laughed and scheduled me to come back next week when he will check to see if I am making any progress towards labor. YIKES!! That means it's getting close to time for Harrison to make his arrival!
Movement: He moves slower than before, I assume because he is running out of room in there! He still moves, but his movements are more like rolls and stretches as opposed to the summersaults he was turning a few weeks back.
Gender: Boy
Name: Harrison Michael Cowan
Belly button in or out? Flat
Weekly wisdom: Drink lots of water, get plenty of exercise and avoid salty foods as well as sitting for long periods of time (like 6 hours at a PD) and your feet will not swell! Also, slap on some Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion for Stretch Marks. Many women and doctors alike will say that no lotion prevents stretch marks. I can not say either way, however I have used the Palmers lotion throughout my whole pregnancy and so far, no stretch marks.
Milestones: His skeleton continues to harden this week and he accumulates layers of fat under his skin to help him regulate his own body temperature outside the womb.
In 3- 4 weeks (depending on your doctor) he will be considered full term and the chance of him needing to stay in the neonatal care unit will be very small.
If born between 34-37 weeks he would need neonatal care for the further development of his lungs, however all other organs are developed enough to function on their own.
Milestone for mommy: I did clip and paint my own toenails this past weekend! I was pretty impressed!
